20/11/13: Malala Yousafzai, a 16 year old Pakistan girl
has received the Sakharov prize for human rights at a ceremony in Strasbourg. The
girl is an activist for better rights for children, especially girls in her
country. There, people have no basic rights like freedom of thoughts or speech.
They are not allowed to learn to read and write. She was shot in the head by
the talibans a year ago, but survived and is now a well known person.
I cannot
imagine to live in a country where people have no rights, especially women. Why
can it be bad to have education? Talibans are very fanatic and try to avoid
that children are educated. They only allow the boys to study.
Malala is
very brave to fight against this fanatism.
