10/11/2013: The
typhoon Haiyan passed over the Philippines causing destruction and many people
died. The authorities didn't know exactly how many because many pleople are
still missing. The wind blew with more
than 300 km for hour and destroyed
buildings and installations. People have no water, no food and no electricity. Thousands
are homeless. The government starts distributing goods with the help of other
nations. Many people try to get out of the country by plane but the airport is
not working , so they all depend on help from other countries.
I think it must
be terrible to have no place to go when this happens. Tramuntant blows with
100 km/hour, so imagine this typhoon with 300 km/hour. My oncle and aunt and
their two children live in Cebu, one of the island of the Philippines. We tried
to contact them but we had no reply at the moment, as there is no electricity.
I am a bit afraid and hope we can contact them soon to know they are all right.
