On 14th of April 276 girls from a secondary school in
Nigeria were abducted by Boko Haram, a militant Islamist group.
Since
then, many people demanded the nigerian government to react and rescue the
abducted girls, but the government did nothing so far.
Now they
arrested two women who leaded protests and criticized the government instead of
chasing the militant Islamist group.
As they
now have attention from the international media the government seems to start
moving.
I am
very concerned that in countries like Nigeria and most of the other African countries
people, and especially women have absolutely no rights.
We are
all so used to live in a democratic system that I cannot believe what is
happening in other countries. It is very good that there are associations like
“Human rights Watch” and others who publish it and make it known to the world. So
hopefully things start to change.
